A Little Tacky!

DID YOU KNOW?  Many people are not aware that when fashions are shipped, the manufacturers often add "tacking" stitches to slits, hems, cuffs, pockets...even button areas or lapels.  They are sewn into these strategic spots simply to keep the integrity of the item in tact so it doesn't get wrinkled, folded or ripped.  This happens more in higher-end labels and in tailored items like jackets and skirts.  Once you get your items home...remove the tacking stitches with little scissors or a seam ripper tool.  The threads should come out super easily since they are loose & knot-free.  This will free up your slits, make it easier to move about, make your pockets useful and now your pieces will be functioning properly!  Don't be caught with "tacking" stitches on the back of your coat, jacket or skirt...now YOU KNOW how to look your best!
